A lot of new impressions!

This was the first time I saw the seamless integration of robotic and Hands-On Surgery Working Together.

This extensive shoot lasted for several days, during which I captured around 1500 images. The task at hand was to choose the best images and color-correct them according to the client's specifications, a process that took several weeks.
One of the most memorable moments of the shoot was witnessing a robot-assisted surgery in action, a truly unique experience. It was fascinating to observe the precision and technology involved in such a complex procedure.
I am thrilled to have played a part in this project, knowing that the images I captured are being used all around the world for my client Dräger. It was a pleasure to work alongside the dedicated staff at the Øjenafd Hospital, and I am proud of the final product we were able to create together.

Fear and Apprehension Before Surgery

The young girl was extremely anxious about being sedated for her tonsil surgery. As I watched her tears and fears, I couldn't help but feel moved by her vulnerability and courage. It was a poignant reminder of the emotional toll that medical procedures can take on patients, particularly children.

An Impressive Surgical Team

Despite the young girl's apprehension, the operation itself went smoothly thanks to the skill and expertise of the surgeon and the rest of the surgical team. As someone who had never been inside an operating room before, I was amazed by the meticulousness and precision of the entire process. Watching these skilled professionals work together seamlessly was a truly awe-inspiring experience.

Joy and Relief After Surgery

As the young girl emerged from the anesthesia and began to recover, her jubilant reaction was infectious. Her laughter and cheers could be heard throughout the hospital as she was wheeled from the operating room to her recovery room. I was fortunate enough to capture a photo of her with her arms raised in celebration, a powerful symbol of the triumph over her fears and the relief of a successful surgery. In the midst of illness and darkness, this was a heartwarming reminder of the power of hope and resilience.
